A real robotDash is a ready-assembled robot that requires almost no setting up and it even has a built-in rechargeable battery, so getting going couldn't be easier.
But whilst it is really easy to use and set up, Dash is a really smart robot that is packed with features and sensors - it can detect objects around it, knows which direction a sound is coming from, record and playback sounds and communicate with other Dash and Dot robots.
Programming DashWonder Workshop have created a whole suite of applications for iOS and Android phones and tablets.
The apps are also available for Kindle.
For younger children (5 to 7 years old) the Path, Xylo and Go apps are an excellent introduction to basic sequencing, spatial reasoning and navigation.
For older children, Wonder and Blockly offer a visual coding experience that guides beginners through their first programs and lets students experiment with logic, loops and variables as their skills increase.
