The SIMATIC S7-200 family offers a broad spectrum of modules suitable for the most varied applications.
The newly available CPU types and expansion modules enable universal automation concepts with 10 to 248 inputs/outputs.
The products of the S7-200 family which are optimally matched to each other also make it easy to change and expand the automation solution in the future.
Application areas such as:small and special machine construction: packaging, strapping and coiling machines · food industry: kneading, cutting machines, mix granulating machines · laboratories: laboratory mixers, heating cabinets, vacuum pumps, suction equipment.
The CPUs are each offered in 5 different variants, with various connection and control voltages.
The PPI interface built into all CPUs enables point-to-point connections to PG/PC, SIMATIC OP, expanded SIMATIC S7-200 and user-defined end devices (printer, bar code reader).
With PG/PC or OP as master, a maximum of 31 SIMATIC S7-200 devices can be connected together.
If additional inputs/outputs are required, a variety of different expansion modules is available.
These are simply linked to the CPU by a connector.
